Technology Fail #2

The magnetic locks were still broken this morning. Nobody's swipe card worked. Nobody could get into the office.

One of my coworker gave us a break-in-and-entry lesson and opened the door in about two seconds.

I think the lesson is that if magnetic locks are going to be used, the doors must not be flexible. But we already knew that. Some months ago, when the locks were misbehaving, someone swiped his card and the gave the door a good tug, like usual, expecting the door to open. The lock didn't let go, and the glass in the door shattered as the door bent out of shape. (This started a big kerfuffle with signage on the doors, but that's a whole other story.)
